Farmers Insurance increases premium 30%

Just got my premium notice for another year of property insurance from Farmers Insurance and they raised the rate from $1,532 to $1,993; a $461 (30%) increase!

So Farmers Insurance pulled out of Florida and Texas and now they want somebody in Western Colorado where there is ZERO chance of flooding and only a minuscule chance of wildfire to make up the difference. Got to keep that CEO in bonus cash!

I have long wondered why insurance companies haven't taken a proactive approach to climate change and what they would do when it bit them in the ass.
